This is a provisional lexicon, made by an indologist, of the scarcely studied Chinese translations that by modern scholars are attributed to 安世高 (An Shigao / An Shikao / Ngan Che kao / An Seiko, active about 147-168 CE ...) or his circle. All these translations are here called the An Shigao Corpus (= ASC).
   Not all problems have been solved and several solutions may need improvement. But the study can serve as a foothold for understanding historically interesting passages in ASC. [Aus der Einleitung]
